The acid blocker capsules may take 1-4 days to reach full effect, but last for 24 hours, getting you through day and night. This package of heartburn medicine contains a 14-day course of treatment. Nexium reduced the amount of plastic used by 24 tons in 2022. Since 2021, Nexium has reduced its plastic usage by 15%. By changing its manufacturing technology, Nexium now uses 15% less plastic.
